Whether you are hoping to gain employment, upskill or feeling left behind by technology we have a range of courses available

All of our courses are free to eligible participants, but the eligibility criteria is different depending on the course you wish to apply for. For example, we have a VTOS office skills course held in Dundrum, which runs 5 mornings a week and leads to a Major award at QQI Level 4 OR we have shorter courses that run for a couple of hours a week.

Some of these courses come with QQI Accreditation.

We also have a number of short courses held in both our Dundrum and Dun
Laoghaire Centres which focus on digital technology e.g.:-

• Getting the most out of your Smart Phone
• Over 55’s Computers
• Getting the most from your Laptop

VTOS Computers & Business Courses

We offer two Business Courses through our VTOS Scheme. One in Dundrum and one in Shankill.

What is VTOS?

VTOS (Vocational Training Opportunity Scheme) is a program designed to help the long-term unemployed return to full time
education without losing their social welfare benefits. It is also an opportunity for early school leavers to return to education in an adult friendly environment and will help participants make the transition back into paid employment.

VTOS Eligibility

You must be over 21 and in receipt of one of the following payments for at least 6 months or more:

• Jobseekers Benefit or Jobseekers Allowance
• Signing for credits
• One parent family allowance
• Jobseekers transitional payment
• Disability or Invalidity benefit
• Dependent Spouse
